about

Rav is a 20 year old up-and-coming Hip Hop artist currently residing in London, UK. He started rapping at the age of nine for amusement on the playground, but has since polished his craft and developed his own unique style. The current project is his first one since his 2010 release, "The Discovered EP". This conceptual tape [recorded in the privacy of Rav's bedroom] is the first release for newly founded net-label Black Chalk, and we feel it is a great example of the caliber of artist and quality we hope to release in the coming future.

“I feel this EP is a vivid glimpse into how my mind operates in terms of the constant altering of emotions, doubts and concerns. With this release, I'm hoping that I can find the courage and an understanding of myself that will help me feel comfortable in my own skin enough to eventually put out an LP.” - Rav

"There is something endearingly appealing about Rav’s sneering, punkish approach to hip-hop. Thanks to that attitude, and some pretty refreshing samples on tracks like “Vicodin” and “Void,” this EP is definitely worth a listen or two." - TheNeedleDrop

"Rav est un nouveau nom qu’il va falloir retenir, car pour son premier Ep il fait fort et vous balance du bon hip hop sous un nouveau label de Los Angeles, nommé Black Chalk." - The Chemistry Magazine
